Visit of DPM Wong Kan Seng

This past Monday the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Wong Kan Seng, visited the Jacob Ballas Centre and Magain Avoth Synagogue. He was given a tour of the premises, and informed of all the social and religious activities that occur there. He then ate lunch with members of the Jewish Welfare Board in our own Awafi Restaurant.

Special mention goes to one of the former Boys who travelled all the way from New York to be here-Avi Lesches, it was great to see you and we really enjoyed our week together!!! Lunch N' Learn comes to Singapore!

Since it's inception 4 weeks ago the lunch and learn which is held every Tuesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Harry Elias Partnership 9 Republic Plaza, has been a major success. We meet every Tuesday To discuss the financial situation from the Torah's point of view with a course titled "Jewish business ethics", while we munch on some delicious lox and bagels!
